A few years ago I used to get tons of matches, but now I hardly get any. I've been using Tinder all the way back since 2016. The first few years of using Tinder were very prosperous for me. I would get probably 5 - 10 matches per day and had no problems setting up dates with good-looking women. Not to be boastful, but I'm a pretty good-looking guy, so I guess it wasn't too surprising that I was doing that well - although at the time I didn't think much of it. Fast forward to the past few years, my match rate has stalled to a dismal rate at maybe just a handful of matches per week. And of those few matches, the quality is much lower. The women are also far less excited and engaged in conversation with me than they used to be. I haven't aged that much over the past few years, I'm still in my mid-twenties and still consider myself good-looking. Just for the hell of it, I posted my old pictures just to see if I could get the ball rolling again, but that didn't work either - my results stagnated. I'm curious if Tinder has altered its algorithm semi-recently to somehow downrank and penalize men even further. Or maybe Women's exponentially rising standards have rendered even decently good-looking guys insufficient in comparison to the top 1% - 5% of men. I'm curious if anyone else has noticed this increasingly frustrating trend.
